BUPA Great North Run 2010 · 19 September 2010 ·

Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity, supporting young lives from birth to 18. Our mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the North East who are affected by poverty, illness, neglect or have additional needs.

Story

Hi everyone!

I appreciate you probably get loads of sponsorship requests at this time of year, people saying ‘Why did I sign up for this?’ and ‘When will I ever learn?’ etc….etc…so I won’t say either of those things.

I signed up for the Great North Run firstly to raise some money for disabled and disadvantaged children in the North East.  Almost everyone at Metro Radio does something for the charity across the year, so running the Great North Run is my way of contributing.  Secondly I wanted to get fitter, which running every morning before work has certainly helped with.

So please, give as much or as little as you can afford.  Every penny stays in the North East, plus anything you donate is boosted by Gift Aid, which gives even more money to the children who need it in our region.

Thanks loads!
