Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am raising money for Winstons Wish because of the wonderful support that they showed myself and Daniel after the death of our mum. As it is 10 years this year that she died, I wanted to do something that would bring her to the forefront of our lives again by completing an activity in her memory and raising money in the processs. To be honest a marathon was furthest from my mind, shaving my head and jumping out of an aeroplane came first (and I hate flying!). In the end it came down to doing something that linked her to the activity (she was a county champion cross country runner in her youth) and something that would make her proud. So on the 25th of May 2008 I will starting and hopefully finishing the Edinburgh Marathon in memory of the most wonderful woman I was lucky to have known. So....... I would ask all who have read my very personal message to dig deep and sponsor me to help me raise money for a wonderful charity that helps so many families who are suffering the loss of someone who meant to them what our mum meant to us.
