Rainbow Trust Children's Charity supports families who have a child with a serious or life-threatening illness. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support.

Story

I am running this year's Great North Run as part of the 2012 Durham School GNR Team supporting the Rainbow Trust Children's Charity.

Over the last 4 years, pupils at Durham School have raised over £50,000 for different charities by competing in the Great North Run. This year, we will be running for the Rainbow Trust in support of children with life-threatening and terminal illnesses.

This will be my first half marathon and I have set myself the challenging target of running it in under the 1hr 30min mark.

Any contribution to this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.
