The Salvation Army is a Christian Church & registered Charity working in 130 countries worldwide and is one of the largest and most diverse providers of social welfare in the world. Alongside our work in the UK, The Salvation Army International Projects Office works with communities around the world to support and empower them to defeat poverty and injustice. Our development projects are created and implemented in partnership with communities to enable them to build a better life and future for themselves. Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th June, I am planning on walking 22 miles in 24 hours.

However its not 22 miles on the flat, but climbing up and down the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales.

Walking with my brother-in-law Iain and a friend from Iain's corps, Jim, I hope to be able to complete this challenge.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Salvation Army in London who will forward these donations direct to the Chatham Citadel Corps.  Just Giving will make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the Salvation Army.

And now why my home corps?  Well its due to the fact that we are currently fund raising to improve the facilities that we can offer to the community we serve so that more people can benefit from the diverse community programmes we offer.
