My name is Chris Kidd, Myself and five friends are going to walk from John-o-Groats to Lands End in aid of Help for heroes. The walk will be approximately 945miles and we aim to complete it within 31 days. We are going to carry a stretcher through various towns and cities along our route collecting donations on the way. we are aiming to raise £20,000 and increase awarness of the charity.

Three members of our team are ex- servicemen including myself, all serving with 1st battalion staffordshire regiment. We gained insperation for this event after the growing number of british service men and women returning home injured or worse from recent conflicts. Also one of our team (Steven Baldwin) was himself injured by a roadside bomb whilst on tour in iraq in 2005. We also lost close friends in the same incedent.

All donations will go to Help for heroes and will provide help and support for injured service men and women it will also give much needed support to the familys of those who paid the ultimate price.
