We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

On Saturday 9th August the Southport Rotary Club are holding their annual Dragon Boat race on the Marine Lake, Southport. They have made the fantastic gesture of naming the trophy after our father Peter Little who died in February this year of metastatic Prostate Cancer. He loved this event and used it to raise money for many good causes, he was so proud when his students won it in 2005.

We've therefore decided to get together a group of his family, friends and ex-athletes he'd coached over many great years on the lake to have a crack at winning the trophy but more importantly to help others who may suffer with Prostate Cancer in the future.

Our crew is named the 'Angry Swans of Southport' after the majestic creatures that glide around the lake where he coached for so long and we'll be wearing face paint, beaks, feathers etc to make us easier to spot.
