My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be cycling 50 miles around the villages of Northamptonshire with 10 friends in memory of my late father who lost his long battle with cancer in March 2012. He was made to feel as comfortable as possible in his last months, thanks to the help of all at Cynthia Spencer and the Three Shires Hospital. We would like to repay these with whatever we can give.
Each year Cynthia Spencer Hospice must raise an extra £704,000 through charitable donations and fund raising activities to be able to provide the fantastic care that they offer people like my dad. No matter how small, each donation counts.

Friends Of Cynthia Spencer Hospice

The Friends Of Cynthia Spencer Hospice is a registered charity and was formed in 1990 by a few individuals; all of whom had come into contact with the Hospice when their respective husbands, wives and close family members had been patients. Since our formation we have gone from strength to strength and do a tremendous amount of fund-raising ourselves. The three main aims of the charity are: - * To raise funds to help with the provision of items which are not available via the N.H.S and to buy those much needed extras for our patients. * To give support to the medical staff and patients in any way we can. * To promote awareness in the local community. The charity's costs are minimal and therefore the majority of the funds raised are spent on patient care.
