About my charity : Scannappeal Scannappeal
Scannappeal was founded in1987 and raises funds for vital medical equipment for hospitals in Buckinghamshire, particularly for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients. Sixteen appeals for equipment have now been completed, raising over £7m. This equipment has been used by one in seven of the local population.

In March I will be attempting to run the Marathon de Sables. This is a 156 mile, self-sufficiency footrace across the Sahara desert, completed over 6 stages, with the requirement to carry all food, water and kit, apart from the tent.  If you're interested in finding out more, then click on: http://www.saharamarathon.co.uk/about.html

All money raised from the run will go towards Scannappeal's Cancer Fighting Fund. Our first funding priority for this Appeal is for equipment for the early detection of lung cancer.
