As some of you may know I have signed up to use the excellent facilities at the Active Lifestyle Centre in Crewkerne and will be taking part in the Crewkerne 9 Mile Run on Sunday 1 June.

This might not seem the hardest of challenges but anybody that knows me and knows the course will appreciate I've got my work cut out!!

With my entry form complete and my cheque for the race cashed there's no turning back and I am appealling for all of your support to help spur me on.

I have chosen to support this cause, and in particular the Western Gazette's Sponsor a Paramedic appeal, because of the service's sustained and unsubsidised work carried out in the two counties. Relying on charitable donations means they deserve as much support as they can get and you never know when a relative or friend may need its assistance.
