As a doctor myself I am only too aware of the growing pressures on our profession. Many find the struggle to cope increasingly hard sometimes resulting in tragic consequences. Doctors often find it difficult to find someone they can talk to informally about their problems. The Doctors SupportLine offers them the opportunity to talk to a trained volunteer doctor. It provides a safe, confidential and anonymous first step to resolving their problems.

In its short time Doctors' SupportLine has taken around 2000 calls, proving it to be a much needed service for the profession. Every £50 keeps the helpline alive for another day.
