Firstly thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I am taking on the London Triathlon 2009 jointly in aid of Survival International and Marjorie McClure Specialist School. 

Due to my inability in understanding most technological based tasks, this page is currently set up for Survival, but this will get sorted to include Marjorie McClure. Thought I would get the ball rolling...

I'm currently 'training' for the Olympic Distance of 1500m open water swim/40km bike ride/10km run.

I plan to run/walk/crawl to the end. I am making no illusions I am any form of athlete, but thought I would aim for a respectable time and will give it a good shot! This is also about the awareness of two great causes, so if I have caught your imagination for a few minutes, I am onto a winner!

Survival International

In the summer of 2006, on the hottest day of the year, I cheered on the Survival team at the London Triathlon as an intern. Having witnessed the incredibly dedicated work of Survival International supporting tribal peoples globally, I've decided it would be clever to sign up for it. Marjorie McClure Specialist School

I have decided to jointly raise for Marjorie McClure School after volunteering there a couple of summers ago. It is a school for children of all ages with mental and physical needs, with a specific focus on physical development. Basically all forms of physical activities and sport is integrated heavily into the curriculum. The results are incredible. Their growth in confidence,  as well as physical abilities, not forgetting simply enjoying themselves within a great learning environment, alongside fantastic teachers was awesome to witness.  Any pennies would be gratefully received there.
