2011 Robin Hood Half Marathon · 11 September 2011 ·

RSPCA Woodside rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes hundreds of neglected and abandoned animals each year. We receive no funding from the government or the central RSPCA, relying on the generous support of the public and local businesses to keep the centre running.

Story

Everybody knows somebody that has run a marathon or a half-marathon and I know for that reason it doesn't sound like much of a challenge sometimes... but have you run that far? Trust me, it isn't easy. I run the Robin Hood Half Marathon every year to raise money for the RSPCA. This year I am raising specifically for the Leicester branch. The RSPCA does some great work in caring for abused and abandoned animals as well as helping to prevent this sort of cruelty in the first place. Animals are defenceless and loving so please help protect them by sponsoring me today. Your donations will really help keep me going when I start struggling... normally around mile 10!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
