This sailing trip around Great Britain will take three months and visits over 60 destinations. I am hoping there will be many enjoyable moments and I am particularly looking forward to the West Coast of Scotland. I am also sure there will be difficult moments; bad weather, cramped accommodation and boredom.
I realise how very fortunate I am to be able to make such a trip, so I wanted to use this opportunity to try and do something good for others much less fortunate. I have chosen an educational charity as I believe education and learning are so important to resolving much that is wrong in the world today. I am a Governor of a local school and the school has links with "Link Ethoipia", a charity dedicated to supporting education in Ethiopia - see below for link to the charity web site. I was also born in Africa; it is a wonderful country that I hope you have the chance to visit at some point.
