Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

As you know may be aware I am planning to get beat up whilst taking in a charity boxing event on the 28th May 2009 at the brewery arena in London.

As some of you will be aware when my little boy Mikey was born in 2008 he contracted Group B Strep Meningitis and Septicimia within hours of him being born.
Thankfully Mikey seems to have made a full recovery but not all children are as lucky.
GBS Infects around 700 New Born Babies each year and around 75 die each year with around 40% suffering long term effects.
Most GBS Infections can be prevented by offering the expectant parents the chance to detect GBS late in pregnancy. This test is not always available through the NHS or even offered and our fundraising will go a long way to changing this.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Group B Strep Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
