Hey! When this picture was taken, running 10km across the Swiss Alps was a piece of cake. Eight years later however, the same distance around a London park is quite a different story, and this is exactly why we see it as a big enough challenge to tell you about it! However, our real goal is to fundraise as much as possible for Barts and The London Charity, which supports 3 hospitals of the English capital. With your support we can help make patients' stay more comfortable through the difficult time this can be. St Bartholomew's in the City, Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel and The London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green are the hospitals of Barts and The London Trust. There is so much done at Barts and The London Trust that it would be impossible to have them all on this site. Amongst other things, it is home to the busiest A&E for children in the country, the largest heart attack centre in the London area and one of the best cancer treatment centre in the UK. The History of the place is just as impressive, St Barts being the oldest hospital in the UK and home to discoveries such as blood circulation or the gene behind deafness. What should stand out is that all three hospitals opened and originally ran thanks to charitable donations, and it is our responsibility to allow to build on this impressive legacy. And as Muriel is a member of Barts and The London Charity, we guarantee you that 100% of your donation to the Charity will go to the hospital and be put to good use! Thank you so much for your support and if you happen to be in London on June 15th, please come down to Victoria Park and have a laugh at our struggle that was once a "walk through the mountains"! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Barts and The London Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
