Story
Five years ago I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome aka ME.
Before becoming ill I was a fit and healthy woman who lived life to the full. Eighteen months of enforced inactivity and a further 24 months of struggling to find the energy just to go to work has caused me to gain weight and changed the, vibrant, life-loving person I once was forever.
During that 24 months the severity of my illness varied, and at times I was able to get back in the gym and become more active. It was during one of these periods that I started this page. Unfortunately at the beginning of 2008 I had a severe relapse which left me once again struggling just to make it in to work each day and ended my fundrraising activities.
The good news is that, with the help of private medical treatment, I appear to have made a full recovery and I am looking to live my life to the full once more.
The first step toward the rest of my life is to increase my level of fitness once more, and hopefully lose some of the extra weight in the process. It will be a slow going as my body is no longer used to regular exercise. But I aim to start my funraising activities once again.
Look to see a new sponsered activity coming to the page in the near future (when I figure out what it is).
I thank you all for your continued support.
