410 Jump for the Fallen · 21 September 2012 ·

Pilgrim Bandits know that adversity, challenges and obstacles serve to strengthen the human spirit. But for some of those we support, just to smile or enjoy the company of others, is an almost insurmountable task. We endeavour to get them to believe in a life worth living again. Through Pilgrim Bandits they push to new limits. They help others. They inspire children and young people by working with schools and care centers. Some say that we are a charity, we say were a charitable force.

Story

Im not the kind of person that would Jump out of a Plane.....I don't even like flying! I get sea sick, and don't like fairground rides.

However, all that is irrelavant, because this isn't about me, This about the 410 soldiers that didn't make it home, and it's about those that did, but were injured, fighting for us and our country.

Im a great believer in fate, and a while ago I met a girl called Amy Smith, who until the age of 13, lead a relativley usual type of life. Now Amy relies on care 24 hours a day, but she has been a huge inspiration to me, she is very smart and hugely strong. When Amy told me one of her ambitions was to skydive, I found my mouth (my brain was not engaging) saying that if she is brave enough to want to do that, then I would do it.

And so..fate stepped in...a few weeks later, when at work on a "Wartime Sweetheart" photoshoot (Im a Singer) I met Martin, who told me all about The Pilgrim Bandits, and all about the Amputees the Charity helps. I said I would love to come Perform for the Charity....... Martin had another idea.

I would also like to raise awareness for M.E. Sufferers, having battled with this for a number of years, and coming out the other side smiling, I realise I am luckier than most, and would like to see more help for sufferes in the North West of England

So, here I am! With my Red lipstick and Victory Curls, preparing to Jump out of a plane.

So Please please please help me to reach my target.....and please god let there be a port & brandy waiting for me on the ground....The ground! oh no....

xx
