Well...... we finished and we are all intact! All in all we spent 35 hours, 23 minutes and 47 seconds in the saddle to ride the 423.5 miles around Wales. The publicity, both national and regional, was extraordinary and has helped raise the profile of this critically ill group of patients. A great big thank you to everybody who has given so generously in these austere times - every penny really did spur us on. The donations from family, friends, patients and others are fantastic. The attached messages and the concerns / advice for potential delicate bits were heartwarming and very funny. Along the way, the efforts of the dialysis units North, South, East and West were inspirational. We had tremendously warm receptions from staff and patients everywhere. Food and drink were laid on, and there were some phenomenal fund raising efforts in all four corners of the country. We were truly touched by it all. In the meantime we are still trying to raise money, so for those of you thinking of donating or those who were waiting for us to finish, please consider making a donation. Once again thank you all so much. Diolch yn fawr.
