There are many aspects of my life for which I am hugely grateful.  As a parent I feel privileged to have two children who had a healthy childhood and who are now making the most of their adult lives.  Some people are not so lucky.

I'm running the Shrewsbury Seven Bridges 10K on 21st September 2008 and would be grateful for your sponsorship.  I've done several 5K and 10K runs in the past, but the challenge that I've set myself is to complete the course in under an hour.  My best time so far has been 66 minutes.  So I need to improve quite a bit.  6 minutes doesn't sound very much, but I've only got little legs!!

Acorns offer respite, emergency and end of life care at their hospices and round the clock support at home.  This costs a lot of money.  Dig deep folks!!

PS - My number for the race is 21!

PPS - I did it!  I completed the course in 57 minutes and 46 seconds.  I was well chuffed with that.  It was a lovely setting down by the river, but crossing all of those bridges was a bit tricky.  And I thought that the hill up to the finish line was a bit unkind too.
