Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On September 18th 2010, myself and colleagues at Fair Investment Company will be climbing the highest peak in the United Kingdom - Ben Nevis to raise money for Five Talents.

Five Talents is a microfinance charity, that helps to establish and nurture small businesses through training and small loans, tackling poverty from the bottom up.

Each loan reaches more than the individual entrepreneur: including the families of the entrepreneur and the families of their employees meaning that each loan typically impacts 20 lives. Their target is to reach at least 70,000 loan-clients by the end of 2012, impacting one million people through job creation and family livelihoods.

And because the money is used to loan, it keeps going round and round, reaching more people and touching more lives. The charity operates in three continents - Africa, Asia and North America.

As a team, we will be aiming to raise £30,000 - half of which will be going to another worthwhile charity - Bethany Children's Trust.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks

Chris

P.S anyone got some blister plasters?!
