What feels like a lifetime ago, I applied for a place in the London Marathon and like many I was unsuccessful. If I had gained my own place I was always going to run for Bliss so I was thrilled when Bliss offered me a place as an SOS sprinter on their team and with just over one month to go the final preparations are well underway!
Bliss provides vital support and care to premature and sick babies across the UK. They offer guidance and information at a critical time in families' lives and they also fund ground-breaking research and campaign for babies to receive the best possible level of care regardless of when and where they are born.
I have been inspired by a friend who campaigns for Bliss and has also had first hand experience of the work which Bliss carries out across the UK and I want to show my support - It would be really great if you could show your support for me by donating even the smallest amount, it all counts!
Around one in nine babies require some form of specialist hospital care when they are first born. Some of these are born premature and some are born at term, but with conditions that mean they require specialist care. In total this equates to around 80,000 babies every year, or around one every six minutes.
Thank you for looking at the page and thank you for showing your support xx
I would also like to say a huge thank you to Hall Brothers of Coventry who have kindly sponsored my efforts and pushed me even closer to my goal!
