Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page..... please help!
As many of you will know, 2 years ago my dad was diagnosed with cancer of the neck - he died 3 months later.
A large part of his last few months was spent at Weston Park Hospital. The care that my dad, and his family, received from the dedicated team of nurses was second to none. Weston Park is 1 of only 3 dedicated cancer hospitals in the UK and is a world leader in cancer research.
Unfortunately there is nothing that I can do to bring my dad back- but I can help to make what is an upsetting time a little easier for other families like mine.
Weston Park is currently raising funds for an on board imager. This piece of equipment enables pinpoint accuracy during radiotherapy, ensuring that beams are targeted and that surrounding tissue is not damaged. It is of particular use for patients with head, neck and prostate tumours. It costs £340,000!
Climbing Kili is something I am really looking forward to, but knowing that I can be a part of something more will be the inspiration that I need. I will make it to the top ... please help me to be a part of something more. Every penny that I raise will go to Weston Park's fund.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me. Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!- and thank you.
