Story

  Congratulations!!

Firstly, well done- you are just about to make a huge difference to a village in Myanmar (used to be called Burma).  As a friend of mine commented today, “your hair will grow back, but the impact on those kids will be forever.” well said, Ross!

Secondly, please consider how much you can afford to donate.  If my calculations are correct, if (...big if?) every member of the facebook group (220 people) gives £10 each, the money raised from metroline yesterday (about £150), and money from my wigmaker should bring me towards my £3000 target.  Please spread the word to friends and family because it really is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  Trust me, I’m not intending to do it again!!  So please, donate as much as you can afford...

Thirdly, did you know? Justgiving make a charge of 5% of any donations received, and also 23p on any donations made by debit cards (or 1.4% on credit cards)- see the explanation under transaction charges on the bottom left of the page.  So if you would prefer- you can give me cash or cheques as donations.

Not sure yet where the legendary event is going to take place yet.  Possibly mens bar, union at lunchtime on Thursday 13th.  But I will confirm...

In Spencer’s finest words... “Pre-amble over!” so dig deep and donate.

Thank you so much,  Claire xx
