WE ALL HAVE OUR MOUNTAINS TO CLIMB
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am really privileged to have been chosen to be part of the team of nine disabled and nine non-disabled adults climbing Mount Kilimanjaro over a 12 day period in July 2008. This will be a test of spirit for us all as we help each other through this amazing climb.
Why are we doing it? Disability charity Enham needs to raise £1.2m for purpose built accommodation for residential trainees and we really want this climb to make a difference to that Appeal. Many of the disabled adults on this expedition reside at Enham and really want to give something back to an organisation that has helped them to reshape their lives.
Why Kilimanjaro? Kilimanjaro is the highest freestanding mountain in the world.
Who is leading the expedition? Steven Ballantyne, Explorer and Expedition leader will personally lead the expedition on behalf of Enham and we will be supported by guide staff from Alpine Ascents, a highly recommended and experienced trekking company.
How do you help? By donating through this site. It’s simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Enham will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. In fact that money comes from the Government and that doesn’t happen every day!
So please sponsor me now. Thank you so much
