Story
Many of those reading this page will know I'm a straight-talking kind of person and say exactly what I think, but often not using the most eloquent of language!
In order to guarantee that the first words spoken by my beautiful daughter Sophie will not haunt me forever, I have pledged to give up swearing for 2008!
However, this is a two-way pledge. I will have to make a payment of £1 per word every time I slip up for the whole of 2008.
I am relying on you, my friends, family and colleagues to both sponsor me and police me!
I have worked on the Capital Appeal for Woodlands Hospice now for just over a year. I am privileged to work for such a fantastic organisation and am proud to be helping raise the money needed to build our 15-bedded inpatient unit which will form an extension to the wonderful existing facilities located within the grounds of University Hospital Aintree in Fazakerley. We need £2.37 million to build and complete the new unit. £1.3 million has already been secured and it is crucial we find the remaining £1 million.
I have to admit that I already owe this page £13 (at £1 per word) but it would be great for Woodlands (but not my own finances) if there was money on here from other people as well as just me! As someone who shall remain anonymous has already commented, the new unit could be paid for by Easter just from this Fundraising page alone!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep, sponsor me online and keep coming back to check up on me - the more you catch me out, the more I have to pay!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Woodlands Hospice Charitable Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support
