Story

Hello and thank you very much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

To my shock and amazement I have been offered a charity place in this year's London Marathon by Headway UK, the brain injury charity.  I was delighted to accept!

Why Headway?  Many of you will know that my dad suffered a traumatic brain injury three years ago as a result of being hit by a car.  He spent much time at Rookwood hospital in Cardiff - where the Cardiff branch of Headway is based - where he received valuable help, support and advice from the Headway team.  Headway continues to support him and my mum and they provide specialist coaching and physio which enhances his quality of life.

Headway is a fabulous charity which, as well as providing support and care for those who have suffered brain injuries, also helps those recovering from strokes.  Both brain injuries and strokes can devastate not just lives but entire famialies, and this charity does fantastic work with both the sufferers and their loved ones.

I would be immensely graetful for any support you could give me to help this worthwhile charity continue its work.  Please sponsor me!!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Headway - the brain injury association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Thank you for reading this and for your generosity and support.
