Story

This year is the 10th Anniversary of the death of my dad, John Britchford.  He sadly passed away after fighting for 3 years against the dreaded cancer. He was an inspiration to me with how he dealt with the suffering and throughout it all he final wish was for the selfless act of money being donated to this great cause. These were the people who helped him through the hardest last moments with smiles on faces and who then continued to support me and my sisters when it was all over.

I wanted to do something special in his memory this year so I have chosen to run a marathon and hope that all who loved this special man will support me in doing so.
I will be dragging myself to the bitter end in Dublin on 28th October and have paid to do it all myself so any donation large or small will go directly to the cause.

Please give generously and give a minutes thought for other familes like my own who these people help so generously.

Thank you

Claire x

Update.... I ran the dublin marathon and completed it in a super time of 4hrs 10 mins!  My target was 4hrs 30mins so I'm very pleased. Thank you so much to all those who have sponsored me and pledged money to this fantastic cause. You can keep pledging until 7th January so keep the money coming in!
