On 28th June 2008 I am taking part in the St Luke's (Cheshire) hospice midnight walk. This is a sponsored half marathon walk in Cheshire to raise much needed support for St Lukes.

This year my mum, Anne Howarth, spent the last eight weeks of her life at St. Lukes. My mum was inspirational to us with her bravery and happiness. St Lukes hospice made this very painful and sad time bearable for mum and for her family and friends. The staff at the hospice are alll so supportive, respectful and friendly. It felt like an extended family for us.

We couldn't have got through this time without St. Luke's support and St. Luke's helps so many other families in the same way. That is why I am doing the midnight walk, to help allow other patients and patient's families to have this much needed support and care.
