I signed up for this when it felt like a long way away - now it's just around the corner - I still don't know if my bike works, I haven't ridden a bike for years and I have let myself get terribly unfit recently - so should be fun!!

I am cycling for two very important causes and splitting the cash 50 - 50. 

The ride is organised by the British Heart Foundation - a massively important cause as shockingly 600 in the UK losing their lives every day to heart disease.  

Also as two of my very best friends have undergone major surgery exactly 2 months before this ride - one donating a kidney to the other - I couldn't have done this without donating to the charity that allowed them to do this and be recovering so well - Kidney Research UK.

Both of these charities rely on nutters  like me saying yes to random events to be able to continue making life-saving scientific advances so come one with that cash!!!
