Thanks for visiting Clancy's fundraising page.
Many of you know me as the CLAN mascot, having often been accused of being a bit portly, during CLAN's current 123 Campaign I decided to join others and took part in the Edinburgh Marathon on 31st May 2009.
During the month of March, Clare Davidson, my Volunteer Manager, swam the marathon distance, in April Mad Woman (Kay Sowerby) completed the London Marathon and finally at the end of May saw me down in Edinburgh doing the Hairy Haggis. I must admit that I completed my marathon faster than the other 2, must have been the fantastic team I had!
I've done 5 & 10K's in Aberdeen before and obviously didn't want to miss an opportunity. I was helped round the Edinburgh Marathon Hairy Haggis Relay course by my "CLAN" for the 4 legs of Michael & Chris Moir, Teresa Wishart & Nick Ruby, Donna Pyper & Kay Sowerby and Theressa Rollo & Susan Christie. Thanks to all the team as I think we caused quite a stir. I achieved success in completing the Marathon in 5hrs 23mins 09 and 10sec (back leg was 1 sec behind front!). The weather was fantastic, luckily for me I had a big hat so no sunstroke or sun burn (no names mentioned!!).
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Link Aberdeen & North gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now, thank you inappreciation of your support!
