Thanks for visiting my CLAPA fundraising page. More information can be found
here about the ride.
My daughter Isabella was born with a cleft lip and palate in June 2006. In her life so far she has undergone 3 operations, many hearing tests and phenomenal amount of speech therapy.
Two of the operations were 2 to 3 hours in length, and were more nerve-jangling for my wife and I than for Isabella. She still has another operation when she's about 8...!
To say a big "thank you" to the Cleft Lip and Palate Association and the John Radcliffe Childrens's Hospital for all their help and support I will be subjecting myself to 12 days of pain and discomfort by riding my bicycle from Lands End to John O'Groats!
I wish to split my fundraising 50-50 between CLAPA and CHOx, so I have 2 fundraising pages. My other page is
here. You can split your donations 50-50 by visiting each page, or dontate to one charity. You could even email me and ask if you could help out on the ride itself!
I will be embarking on some training rides between now and 'the big day' to get used to spending a large proportion of my time in the saddle.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Funds gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you for reading this. Graham!
