Hooray! I ran the full 13.1miles, without stopping (not even to walk!) in 2 hours.  The last 3 miles I found especially tough.   THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SPONSORSHIP!! - All your support made me really go for it.  My cousin Sarah and all her team completed it.  It was a fantastic day with Pollyanna there to cheer us on.  Thank you. Thank you.  Thank you!!

I Ran to the Beat for the Limbless Association.  I feel very privileged to know such an inspirational person, my cousin Sarah Hope.  Two years ago Sarah and her family went through a tragic bus accident in London.  She lost her mother and her youngest daughter, Pollyanna, had to have her leg amputated.  Sarah too had injuries to her leg from which she is still recovering.  Despite all this Sarah managed to do a half marathon in London in September and another one in October in order to raise money for the Limbless Association.  Sarah has the biggest heart of anyone I know; it is typical of her while still going through so much herself to turn something so terrible into something so positive by helping others who have also lost their limbs.  If you would like to read more about the family's incredible story please go to the links below.  Christopher, Sarah's husband and a journalist wrote some articles in the Telegraph.  Please support me doing the half marathon, believe me I didn't find it easy!  Thank you.

LA is the leading UK charity for people with limb-loss, their family, friends and carers and the industry and healthcare professionals who support them.  They offer support to individuals of any age, whether they are about to have an amputation or are already living with congenital or acquired limb-loss and we offer assistance and information to carers, family members and friends if they require it. The charity supports amputees who are civilians and from the military population. Limbless Association also played a key role in assisting victims who sustained limb-loss during the 7/7 London terrorist attacks.
Any sponsorship raised will be used in the Hope Family Appeal which will support research into new limbs, help children and adults in developing countries and to assist the Association in its work helping amputees to come to terms with their loss.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
