Hello! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

I at least wanted to reward you with a nice heartwarming message for when you got here. How about the fact you can change a life, or indeed several, for the humble sum of £1.66! It's true - this is all it costs to send a book out to the hands of a sub-Saharan African reader. Given that each book is read by at least five people - the great joy of public libraries! - a little goes an awful long way.

To live life without being able to read a map, a medicine bottle or a voting ballot is something that I can hardly even fathom. By sending out over 500,000 brand new and carefully selected books to sub-Saharan Africa each year, Book Aid International is trying to help solve the chronic book shortage and empower Africans to make informed decisions about their everyday lives.
