Personal message:

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Your donation is incredibly important to the humanitarian work which Transaid carries out across Africa.  So please dig deep and sponsor me online now.

As a specialist from within the UK transport & logistics industry, I'm delighted and privileged to be working in Lusaka from 29th March to 12th April 2008 to carry out a voluntary Transaid project with the Zambian Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.  My task is to assess the strategic planning and operations of CILT Zambia with a view to improving the organisation's effectiveness.  Results of this project will include delivering more logistics and transport qualifications for commercial drivers, raising awareness of the logistics and transport sector internationally and alleviating the appalling road safety conditions on Zambia’s roads.

Transport and logistics skills such as safe driving, vehicle maintenance and fleet scheduling are crucial to development across Africa.  Your money will help improve healthcare delivery, generate economic wealth and reduce death, life long injuries and damage caused by road crashes.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Transaid will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. It would mean a lot if you could sponsor me now please!

A heartfelt thank you for your support from both myself and Transaid.
