Story

Georgia was a friend of Kathryn's from Brownies and we have decided to join Team Georgia to show our support for a truly wonderful little girl. Always smiling and happy and with her beautiful curly hair is how we will remember her. She was an inspiration to all and bravely fought Stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma, the most aggressive form of childhood cancer there is at the age of 5.

In 2013, Georgia's family were given the amazing news that Georgia had beaten the cancer.

Sadly in August 2014 Georgia’s cancer had returned and she started further chemotherapy. Despite this, Georgia showed tremendous strength, she was always smiling and happy and full of attitude and cheekiness!!!

On the 16th December 2015, after a long and courageous fight, Georgia passed away holding her Mummy's hand, she was aged just 9.

The pain of losing Georgia is unimaginably hard for her Mum and Dad, and for all those who had the privilege of being part of her life. Georgia's family want people to remember Georgia for the amazing little girl she was. Georgia leaves a massive hole in their hearts, but we take comfort in knowing that she is with her Grandad and big brother, Jamie, and is no longer in pain or suffering.

Georgia loved nothing more than helping others and she is a total inspiration, showing us to be brave, even when you really really don’t want to be.

So, we are heading into 2016 and Team Georgia are once again going to take part in Race for Life.
