I am pleased to have the opportunity to run in the London Marathon on behalf of the Lily Foundation. I have been a keen runner since I was at school but my training has now taken on a new meaning!     

I am a teacher at the Beacon School in Banstead, Surrey and I am lucky enough to have the support of my Business Administration students in assisting me in reaching my target. Their dedication and commitment to creating awareness of the charity to their fellow students is immensely motivational.

Lily Anna Merritt was 2months old when she was diagnosed with a metabolic disorder and despite being given days to live, she graced this world with eight months of life. The Lily Foundation was built on Lily's strength and inspired by her fighting spirit.  Although The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory - it is not for Lily. It is to give hope, answers and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today.
