Thanks for visiting our page! This summer hols Anna will be jumping out of a plane in Cambridgeshire at 13,000 feet to raise money for the girls at the Russ Foundation and the projects Good Foundation runs in India. It would be ace if you had a few squids to spare for India - every penny really does count.
As well as the orphanage the Russ/Good Foundation manages a huge HIV/AIDS programme which involves significant outreach work. The projects primarily focus on working with people who are ostracised by both their families and their community due to their HIV status and delivers a comprehensive preventative awareness programme. Russ also runs health clinics staffed by four community nurses covering around forty villages and hamlets with a population of around 40,000 people. TAI is a project for sex workers run by a small team of doctors, social workers and medical staff enabling over 2,000 people to access basic education, healthcare and legal rights and representation.
We're back to the Russ Foundation this Christmas - so will report back with achievements and project updates on our return.
Thank you so much, Anna and Clarissa xx
