We want you to have fun, get fit and complete a mile of activity for cancer research in Merseyside and Cheshire!
Our aim is to get everyone having fun by achieving a mile on space hoppers, pogo sticks or even walking your dog for cancer research. We want to notch up a total of 25,000 miles which means that through your activity we will have travelled the entire world for cancer research for the people of Merseyside and Cheshire!
You can cover a mile in any way you like – run, hop, skip, cycle or swim, it’s up to you! Join in with your friends and family, at your workplace or school, or even get everyone at your local supermarket involved! It doesn’t matter when, where or how you take part, but by joining in and completing a mile of activity you will play a big role in beating the pants off cancer.
And if everyone donates just £2 for their mile we will have raised a massive £50,000, which is enough to fund the essential equipment needed by two cancer research scientists for one year - right in the heart of Liverpool and for cancer patients across our region.
To keep us up-to-date with your fundraising progress, our Chick mascot will travel virtually around the world. For every mile you move, the Chick will travel a mile on our ‘chick-o-meter’, so make sure you keep a close eye on how your cycling, walking, swimming and climbing is helping cancer research.
