<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>In September 2011 three choirs, InChorus, Lothian and Borders Police Choir and Tayside Police Choir will travel by invitation to New York to take part in a variety of commemorative events to pay tribute to the ordinary men and women who died in the 9/11 disaster.</p> <p>As a choir member, my original fundraising plan late last year was to take on the daunting task of climbing Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in 24 hours. As most people know by now, a serious car accident in January left me with multiple fractures of the pelvis and two months on crutches! At first I resigned myself to the realisation that my plan was now impossible-but lying immobile in a hospital bed dreaming of just walking to the window to look out, never mind standing on the summit of one of my favourite Lake District peaks made me determined to get fit as quickly as possible and train over the summer in order to attempt the Three Peaks in Three Days as opposed to 24 hours.</p> <p>On the 11th-13th August with help from my brother Dan we will cover over 1000 miles in my 1000cc Micra, and climb over 10,000 ft!
