Well it's now just over a year since I decided to embark on all this and what a journey it's been. I really hadn't anticipated quite the level of generosity and interest people have shown and to have raised over £3400 when my original target was just £2800 is amazing - thank you very much indeed for all your help and support.
And to top it all, Holly was formally discharged as an outpatient from the hospital this week. I'm really pleased I had the opportunity to support such a wonderful place and my best wishes go to all the staff who work there.
Many thanks once again - until next time!!!!

Why Did I Do This?!!!
My youngest daughter, Holly, who's 10, has a problem with her right kidney and received treatment at Pendlebury Hospital for some years. With the opening of the New Children's Hospital in Manchester in July, it's provided me with a great opportunity to do something in return and help raise money for the latest diagnostic equipment and parent stay-over facilities there. And when Holly had an operation there recently, we saw for ourselves just what a difference all that makes. It really is an excellent hospital for children in the North West and the staff there are tremendous, so please give generously to the Appeal.
And donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Central Manchester & Manchester Children's University Hospitals Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So thanks again for lookng me up and I hope you'll sponsor me for whatever you can afford. And be sure to leave me a message of support that I'll be able to think about on my trip.
Cheers
Cliff
