Climate change is now a very real problem that will have a serious impact on Wiltshire's countryside and wildlife.  The good news is, that with your support, we can make a real difference.

Recently we launched an exciting new initiative, the set up of our first ever Climate Friendly Communities in Urchfont and Marlborough.  People there are getting together to cut their waste, become more energy efficient, buy local food and reduce their car use. They are aiming for a 20% reduction in their carbon emissions. Hot on their heels are Castle Combe, Purton, Ramsbury, Bradford-on-Avon, Steeple Langford, Tisbury, and with your help many more to follow.

This is a ground breaking scheme that with your support could become a powerful movement for change. We want to set up more Climate Friendly Communities in Swindon and Wiltshire, with the potential to roll out the programme nationally and perhaps internationally. However we urgently need more money to fund this vital work. 

Money from the Government - £3 for every £1 you give!

The government want us all to reduce our carbon emissions. DEFRA have pledged £80,000 to our Climate Friendly Communities programme. This is a significant amount but to qualify for this money we need to raise £40,000 from other sources. So, for every £1 you can give us today, the government will give us a further £2 so that we receive £3!

£120,000 will fund full-time support to 12 communities, so that they can reduce their carbon emissions through energy, waste, transport and local food.
