Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the teams JustGiving page.

We are Matty, Chris, Gary & Lance. Four amateur but keen cyclist aiming to climb and conquer three of the toughest and most gruelling peaks the Alps have to offer in three successive days. We will be travelling to the Briancon region in the south of France, where we are going to climb the Col D’Izoard, Col Du Chaussy and the Col Du Galibier. The team will consist of 4 Royal Air Force personnel from RAF Coningsby, Ground Support Systems Flt & RAF Leeming NavAids Support Flt.

We have three pages as we are riding for three different charities. Why the Royal Air Force Association? These are the words of one of our team, Lance.

We believe every generation owes a debt of gratitude to the RAF and their families. To protect the peace and safety we enjoy every day, they sacrifice the normal way of life most people take for granted. When someone in the RAF family needs help, the charity they turn to is the Royal Air Forces Association. RAFA is dedicated to supporting serving and former RAF personnel and their families. Whether it's an injured airman fighting to get back onto his feet, a young daughter missing her parent away on overseas operations or a WWII veteran needing a shoulder to lean on, they are here to help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
