Story

A joke: What has a Systems Engineer, an Electrician, a Prison Officer, a Cut and Creaser and a Recruitment Consultant got in common?

A bigger joke: They've all decided to climb the three highest peaks in the UK in 24hrs!!

As all good ideas start.... a few beers, add in a heady mix of pure male bravado and a bucket of male testosterone, allow to stew for a couple of hours then..Voila!!

The perfect plan!

So what's it all about?

Well, the '3 Peaks Challenge' has been around for a while and you may well have heard of it...many have completed it but failed to complete it in the alloted 24hrs.

The plan is to start at Ben Nevis in Scotland (the highest peak at 1344m) and then speed to the second climb (not breaking any of the speed limits obviously!) which is Scarfell Pike in the Lake District (the third highest peak at 978m) then finally to Wales for Mount Snowden (the second highest Peak at 1085m) all of this in just 24hrs!!

The real reason why...

We are climbing the 3 peaks to raise money for the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT).  This is a charity that is close to our hearts...

Chris's baby daughter Maya was diagnosed with retinoblastoma (eye cancer) in September of last year; she was just 3 months old.  Maya had to have her left eye removed and has had to endure 2 different types of chemotherapy to fight the tumour in her right eye. Despite all of this she's the happiest, cheekiest little girl you'll ever meet.

When your child is diagnosed with cancer it feels like your world has collapsed. The effect on Maya's family & friends has been profound. During this time we have been helped & supported by CHECT. This charity specialises in retinoblastoma & is funded solely through donations.

Please help us to raise as much money as possible to ensure this charity can continue to support all those affected by this illness.

Thank you in advance for your support.... every penny counts!
