Climbing Kilimanjaro · 8 June 2009

COCO’s purpose is to provide education to create the opportunity for children to break the cycle of poverty. We are currently working with communities in remote areas of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Our vision is a world where every child, everywhere has access to quality education.

Story

** UPDATE - Just to let everyone know that on Friday 6th November both Annabel and I summited Kilimanjaro. I think it is no exaggeration if we say it was the hardest (but slightly enjoyable..?) thing we have ever done!!  Annabel was very impressive as she was hit severely with altitude sickness from day 3 but kept going. We want to thank everyone so much for all the support received. I managed to film some of it and will be sending out a dvd to all who have sponsored us. Thanks again.

In October we will be climbing (dragging) ourselves up Kilimanjaro. As such natural athletes you may wonder where the challenge is in this? Well with Annabel's fear of heights and our combined dislike of the cold, camping and anything that does not involve 5* luxury it makes it seem that little bit more tricky! As training begins we will keep you updated with our progress. 

COCO is a children's charity helping to provide better health care and education for children living in poverty throughout the developing world. We decided to climb Kilimanjaro for COCO after Kat filmed one of their projects in Tanzania.

We will also be holding a fundraising event on the 24th September 2009 which we will notify everyone about.
