Tinto Climb · 5 November 2007

The Christian Medical Fellowship was founded in 1949 as a fellowship for Christian doctors and medical students. We have over 4,500 members in all branches of medicine, and over 1,000 student members. Our four aims are: • Discipleship • Evangelism • Mission • Proclamation

Story

We did it!

On Saturday 24th November a hardy group of CMF Glasgow youngsters climbed Tinto Hill, the 711m monster in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.

There was much excitement and anticipation as the 4-strong team made their way from Westend, Glasgow to Thankerton, Middle-of-nowhere. Spirits remained high through out the event despite "Fresh Gale" force winds!

A real team-effort was evident - we stuck together, providing encouragement and shelter from the elements, which at times threatened to blow us clean off the slopes! And when one member fell the others were right there beside him... laughing in his face!  Well done team!

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page and I hope you will contribute to the cause;

The money raised from this event will be used by CMF for courses throughout the UK including Confident Christianity (an evangelism training course) and the Student Leadership conference and for supporting CMF groups in developing countries. Have a look at the website for further details - http://www.cmf.org.uk/fellowship/students/fundraising.htm

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Christian Medical Fellowship will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
