As most of you will know, Dad passed away on 28th November last year aged 65. Throughout his career he never struck me as a stressed person, infact the opposite. But you can never tell, and I guess the job, blood pressure, caring for Mum and losing her in July were all too much and he suffered a massive stroke and didn't wake up. So, the reason for me cycling from London to Paris (with padded pants of course) is twofold:

First, I want to direct as many people as possible to the web site for the stroke association. http://www.stroke.org.uk/.  Strokes are the nation's third largest killer so please spare a moment to take a look. Second I want to raise money!! So, if I am going to haul my sorry arse all the way to Paris on a bike the least you can do is put your hand in your pocket and help raise some money for the Stroke Association and their good works.
