PACE (Aylesbury) to Dublin cycle · 18 June 2008 to 22 June 2008 ·

We want every child in the UK with a neurodisability like cerebral palsy - and their families - to have access to learning and life changing therapy, aligned with our Pace approach. Our specialist clinical, education and therapy teams work with babies, children & young people from 0-18.

Story

                        CLIVE'S BIKE RIDE TO DUBLIN

On 18th June I  embarked, along with 15  others, on a 4 day 350 mile bike ride from The PACE Centre (Aylesbury, Bucks) to Dublin. The aim being to raise as much money as possible for a wonderful charity that helps children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.. Those who know me will realise that I have not historically been a keen cyclist and that I this was a reasonable challenge. I was also at risk of a very sore rear end!!  We did it!!!! The weather on Saturday was aweful but we battled for 12 hours to do the 100 miles up to Dublin from Rosslaire in gale force winds and driving rain. The Guinness tasted great after that!

WHY??  I am a trustee of The PACE Centre and I have been genuinely moved and inspired by the fantastic work being done by the staff there and the great progress being made by the children who are fortunate enough to attend the centre. Please take just a couple of minutes to visit their web site: http://www.thepacecentre.org/  and watch the video to understand why I am doing it.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Pace Centre will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support
