Charity Bike Ride, 28 June 2009

Congratulations go to Clough & Willis Partners, Paul Breedon and Chris Macwilliam on taking part in Bike Unite for the New Children's Hospital Appeal. On Sunday, 28th June, Paul and Chris braved the heat and humidity to cycle 37 miles from Salford Quays along the Manchester Ship Canal and Transpennine Way to Calderstone Park in Liverpool. During the ride Chris suffered a bad fall and broke his arm, never-the-less he went on to complete the ride and in a fantastic effort they finished the challenge in under 3 hours, the guys finished so early- their friends and families had not yet arrived at the finish line to meet them.

Our congratulations and huge thanks also go to our friends of Clough & Willis. Between us we have managed to raise over £2157.67. Although Paul and Chris have done the really hard work and taken the injuries - it is the money that will really help to make a difference over at the New Children's Hospital. Whilst it is now up and running there is still lots to be done to ensure the children of Manchester and their families have the best facilities available. In the current environment we appreciate that people have had to dig deep to support this.
