Story
I am raising money to build a home for some orphaned children in Uganda
Please see the photos below of the orphaned and disabled children the charity looks after, in Southern Uganda (East Africa)
PART 1 : 1st April 2012 - Richmond 10k Run - COMPLETED
PART 2 : 6th May 2012- Regent's Park 10k Run - COMPLETED
PART 3 : 18-22 June - 300km cycle in Rwanda & Uganda - COMPLETED
The bike ride was across rough roads on a mountain bike, at 2,500m altitude over 5 days, with 12 other cyclists. 60% of the cycle was off-road.
Edirisa UK are also building a Hospital in Uganda at the moment
The charity Edirisa UK, currently help at ten different schools & nurseries, improving the education and chance of a better life for hundreds of extremely poor & disadvantaged children in Uganda. They also provide clean drinking water through numerous water projects across Uganda.
The 300km bike ride is across rough roads and tracks in the farming countries of Rwanda & Uganda. I am donating the cost of the trip myself, so all money raised will go directly to the charity for the orphanage building project.
