Richard Mcguire, James Hartley and Myself are riding in the Open Cycling Coast to Coast on the 30th June 2012.

This is a 140 mile cycling sportive across the north of England taking in some of the most feared Lake District passes, the Yorkshire Dales and the North Yorkshire Moors.

We are used to doing long road rides upwards of 90 miles but going beyond the 100 mile mark is far more than we have ever done. To make things even harder we will also be aiming to complete the route in 10 hours meaning that we will have to average 14mph.

We admire the work of Macmillan greatly as their efforts improve the quality of life of people suffering from cancer, a disease that we have all been personally affected by with loved ones and close friends in recent years.

We are all really excited about this challenge and hope that you will help inspire us to train and ride harder in order to raise money for a charity close to our hearts and one that does incredible work in the care of people with cancer.
